                    HISTORY of Mansfield Supply
In the 1950's Ed Trepal was building houses in Mansfield. At the time he was transporting a lot of his supplies from Eastford Building Supply to Storrs. He had opened Eastford Building Supply a few years earlier so he was familiar with starting a supply business. Ed
talked his son-in-law  Herman Barlow Sr. into opening a store in Mansfield to cut down on the travel time in his building business. Since the opening in the spring of 1954, Mansfield Supply has been operated by the family of the founders. Herman Sr. ran the store until the age of eighty seven. The store is now operated by two of his sons.

We have grown in size and offerings, however our commitment to having the supplies our customers need has remained the driving force behind our business.
